Area of Emphasis:
Monika conducts environmental analyses and prepares documents in compliance with CEQA/NEPA. Her project management experience has focused on public infrastructure projects, and she has also prepared technical analysis for mining, electrical transmission line, high-density urban infill development, general and specific plan, and school projects. Her scientific training in environmental and soil sciences helps her to understand even the most complex technical issues, particularly related to hydrology and water quality, hazards and hazardous materials, geology and soils, and noise and vibration. Monika also leverages her practical field experience in soil, groundwater, and surface water quality investigation, including monitoring and sampling conducted as part of Industrial General Permit compliance and MMRP compliance, to develop practicable and enforceable mitigation measures. Her years of experience as an environmental scientist and planner, combined with her strong writing skills and understanding of CEQA case law, ensures that Benchmark’s work products provide well-developed analyses with clear supporting evidence, which leads to public understanding, legal defensibility, and environmental compliance.
